One can almost feel the 3D texture in this picture. It's trough texture segregation that we separate foreground from background.
Our ability to segregate textures during early vision is a key to understand and depict the meaning go graphics.
This blog contains infographics that I have made and depiction of my inspiration. You will see my opinion, comments, reaction and some other graphics, videos, design concepts that I like. Feel free to interact with my post.

Meat consumption
This is a graph I have made for my class. I used the pen tool to do the shapes. I should of put the title bigger to respect a correct hierarchy. I used the same color for the theme. Maybe another graph instead of the last image would have been a better choice. What do you think?

The noun project
The Noun Project is a platform empowering the community to build a global visual language that everyone can understand.
Visual communication is incredibly powerful. Symbols have the ability to transcend cultural and language barriers and deliver concise information effortlessly and instantaneously. For the first time, this image-based system of communication is being combined with technology to create a social language that unites the world.

Who's paying for the president?
I found this infographic in: www.good.is
Much more complexe than the previous one but a nice goal objective.
There's a nice hierarchy in this infographic plus the use of colors to compare Obama and Romney.
I personally think that using only 3 colors is the perfect combination to catch your readers attention.
